Fractal Creates Dedicated India Business Unit Under Rishi Seth

Fractal Analytics has established a dedicated India Business Unit to address growing demand from large Indian enterprises seeking to move artificial-intelligence projects from pilot programmes into production-scale deployments. Rishi Seth has been appointed to lead the unit, which will operate within Fractal’s Asia-Pacific practice under Sandeep Dutta, Chief Practice Officer and Head of APAC.

The new business unit will use Fractal’s portfolio of AI services and products, led by its Cogentiq agentic-AI platform, to support enterprise transformation in India. The organisational change creates a distinct commercial and delivery focus for the domestic market, separating India-facing expansion from the company’s broader regional operations while retaining its connection to the APAC leadership structure.

Cogentiq is designed as an enterprise orchestration layer for building and deploying AI agents across functions and industry workflows. Its capabilities include low-code development, data connectors, governance controls and support for multiple large language models. Fractal positions the platform across areas including business intelligence, customer operations, underwriting, ecommerce, invoice-to-cash processes and workforce transformation.

The company has organised its wider strategy around three pillars. AI-led Transformation focuses on redesigning business workflows and decision-making; AI Foundations covers the data, technology and governance required to deploy AI reliably; and AI Work and Workforce addresses operating-model changes, skills and the redesign of jobs. Cogentiq serves as the common platform across these areas.

Fractal said interest from Indian enterprises has shifted toward programmes capable of producing measurable business outcomes across entire functions. The company already works with multiple global capability centres in India and intends to combine that experience with sector expertise and its product portfolio. The dedicated unit gives it a clearer structure for building domestic partnerships, expanding enterprise accounts and adapting deployments to local operational and regulatory requirements.

The India expansion also connects with Fractal’s work in public-sector and sovereign-AI programmes. The company was selected under the IndiaAI Mission to develop a large reasoning model for the country. It has also partnered with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to deploy AI-enabled citizen health services through Vaidya.ai, its multimodal healthcare reasoning platform.

Fractal employs more than 6,000 people across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. It invests more than 6% of revenue in AI research and development, covering foundational research, proprietary models, products and intellectual property. Its portfolio includes Vaidya.ai, AI development platform PiEvolve, revenue-growth-management company Asper.ai and education platform Analytics Vidhya. Fractal also incubated and subsequently spun out healthcare-AI company Qure.ai.

The India Business Unit therefore brings domestic sales, product adoption and delivery responsibility into a defined leadership structure at a time when enterprises are tightening expectations around governance, integration and returns from generative and agentic AI.
