Infosys Terminates Trainees at Mysuru Campus, Offers Alternative Career Paths

Infosys has reportedly let go of 30-45 trainees at its Mysuru campus on March 26 after they failed to clear internal assessments, according to a Moneycontrol report.

Despite the terminations, the IT giant is offering affected individuals an alternative career path. The company has introduced a 12-week training program aimed at preparing them for potential roles in Infosys’ Business Process Management (BPM) division. Infosys will fully sponsor this training for those who opt to pursue opportunities in BPM, ensuring they have a chance to upskill and transition into a different role within the organization.

This move comes amid concerns over onboarding delays and workforce restructuring in the IT sector. Notably, two months ago, Infosys had terminated approximately 350 trainees from the same campus, many of whom had been waiting for onboarding for over 2.5 years. The latest terminations highlight ongoing challenges in talent management within India’s IT industry.
