Instamart Appoints Nandita Sinha as CEO; Amitesh Jha Steps Down

Instamart has appointed former Myntra Chief Executive Officer Nandita Sinha as its new CEO, effective August 3, 2026. She succeeds Amitesh Kumar Jha, who resigned from the position to pursue other opportunities.

Sinha brings more than two decades of experience in building and scaling consumer businesses across fashion, e-commerce and fast-moving consumer goods. Before joining Instamart, she served as CEO of Myntra, where she led the fashion e-commerce platform as it gained market share following the achievement of EBITDA profitability in 2024.

She has previously held leadership positions at Flipkart, Britannia Industries and Hindustan Unilever. Sinha is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) and the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi.

“I am delighted to welcome Nandita Sinha as the CEO of Instamart. Nandita is one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders, and I’m enthusiastic about the vision, customer obsession and operational rigor she brings to the team we’ve built at Instamart,” said Sriharsha Majety, Managing Director and Group CEO, Swiggy.

Majety credited Jha with guiding Instamart through an important period of growth, strengthening the platform’s differentiation through initiatives such as Noice and improving its contribution-margin journey. He added that Jha helped scale the business while building a strong organisational culture.

Commenting on her appointment, Sinha said, “I have long admired what the team at Instamart has built. It’s a business with a strong customer-first culture, great talent and significant opportunities ahead. Instamart sits at the heart of how India shops for its everyday needs, and I look forward to working with our colleagues, partners and consumers to shape its next chapter of growth.”

Jha ceased to be part of Swiggy’s senior management on July 28. Sinha will be categorised as senior management personnel after assuming charge on August 3.

Instamart is Swiggy’s quick-commerce platform, offering groceries, household essentials and products across multiple categories through its digitally managed fulfilment and last-mile delivery network.
