Jensen Huang believes Nvidia’s next major growth avenue lies in CPUs designed specifically for AI agents, a market he estimates could be worth nearly $200 billion. According to Huang, the rise of agentic AI is creating demand for an entirely new category of computing infrastructure.
The Nvidia chief executive highlighted the company’s growing push beyond GPUs and into AI-focused central processing units. Nvidia introduced its Grace data-center CPU in 2023 and is now preparing to roll out Vera, an Arm-based processor that will work alongside the company’s upcoming Rubin GPUs.
Huang stated that AI agents are expected to become a major driver of future computing demand, especially as businesses increasingly adopt systems capable of reasoning, planning, and completing tasks autonomously. Nvidia expects this transition to fuel massive spending on AI infrastructure over the next several years.
During Nvidia’s latest earnings update, the company also projected strong financial performance, forecasting quarterly revenue above Wall Street expectations. The company reported significant growth in its data-center business, which continues to benefit from accelerating global investment in AI infrastructure.
Nvidia executives indicated that major cloud providers and AI companies are already working with the company on CPU deployments. The company reportedly expects its CPU business to generate close to $20 billion in revenue this year alone.
Huang also emphasized the broader scale of the AI boom, describing the expansion of AI factories and infrastructure as one of the largest technological buildouts in history.
