Juspay Reports Rs 90 Crore Loss in FY26 as Revenue Grows 29% on AI Investments

Bengaluru-based payments technology company Juspay reported a net loss of Rs 90 crore in the financial year 2025-26 (FY26), compared with a net profit of Rs 62 crore in FY25, as it increased spending on artificial intelligence (AI), graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure and international expansion.

According to The Economic Times report published on October 9, 2026, Juspay’s revenue rose 29% to Rs 664 crore in FY26, up from Rs 514 crore in the previous financial year. Despite reporting a net loss, the company remained profitable on an adjusted EBITDA basis, with adjusted EBITDA standing at Rs 33 crore.

The company’s shift back into losses follows a period of growth in which it reported its first annual profit in FY25. Its latest financial performance reflects increased investment in technology development and expansion into overseas markets.

Juspay Chief Operating Officer Sheetal Lalwani said the company had accelerated investments in AI capabilities and international operations. The company is developing AI products for large enterprises, including solutions that could replace existing internal tools used for documents, product management and video conferencing. Lalwani said the company expects these investments to contribute to revenue growth in FY27.

Juspay’s core payments business in India continued to expand and remained profitable during FY26. However, overseas markets contributed less than 10% of its revenue during the year. The company expects the international share of revenue to reach double digits in the current financial year.

Founded in 2012, Juspay provides payment infrastructure to enterprises and banks. Its technology supports payment processing for businesses across e-commerce, fintech, food delivery and other sectors. The company reported daily transaction volumes of 400 million and an annualised total payment volume exceeding $1 trillion.

Juspay serves more than 500 enterprises and banks globally. During FY26, it expanded its international presence across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Middle East. The company is also working with international financial institutions as demand grows for payment infrastructure that supports account-to-account transfers and real-time payments.

Its AI initiatives include Xyne, an open-source enterprise AI platform that allows organisations to build AI applications and agents using their own data while retaining control over data and model selection. Another product, Breeze Universal, supports brand discovery and agentic commerce across AI platforms used by merchants and banks. The company’s Genius product enables enterprise teams to analyse payment data and manage payment operations through AI-powered tools.

Juspay’s revenue has grown substantially over the past three financial years, increasing from Rs 213 crore in FY23 to Rs 514 crore in FY25 before reaching Rs 664 crore in FY26. The latest results show the financial impact of the company’s increased investment in AI and global expansion as it develops new products and seeks to grow its international business.
