Kishore Hirani has been appointed Group Chief Information Officer at Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd, bringing more than three decades of experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation and IT leadership. His appointment adds an experienced technology executive to the organisation as it advances its digital capabilities and supports business expansion.

In his new role, Hirani will focus on connecting enterprise technology priorities with business objectives, improving operational efficiency and supporting growth through digital innovation. His background spans IT strategy, artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, IT governance and digital manufacturing.

Hirani joins Lloyds Metals & Energy from Amara Raja Group, where he served as President and Chief Digital and Information Officer. His responsibilities encompassed the group’s technology strategy, digital transformation, data and enterprise systems, information security and IT governance across its businesses.

During his tenure, he led enterprise transformation initiatives involving ERP systems, SAP Ariba and Salesforce, alongside digital manufacturing solutions for battery manufacturing facilities and emerging electric vehicle battery operations. These assignments combined enterprise systems modernisation with the application of technology in industrial environments.

His experience with SAP-led transformation includes Amara Raja Group’s move to SAP S/4HANA, undertaken with support from Accenture. In the company’s announcement of that programme, Hirani highlighted the importance of establishing a strong digital core capable of supporting future business requirements. The initiative forms part of his track record in modernising enterprise platforms to meet changing operational needs.

Before Amara Raja, Hirani served as Chief Information Officer at Adani Ports and Logistics and at Gujarat Gas–BG Group. He also spent nearly 13 years at GE, where he headed the GE Energy India SAP and IT Centre. Earlier roles included Software Engineer at Blue Star Infotech and work in process computerisation at Mukand Ltd.

Across these assignments, Hirani has worked in manufacturing, energy, utilities, infrastructure and logistics, building experience across different industrial technology environments. His move to Lloyds Metals & Energy brings that background into a group-wide CIO role, with technology advancement, process optimisation and operational performance central to the appointment.
