Krutrim has officially launched Kruti, positioning it as India’s first agentic AI assistant designed to execute real-world tasks such as booking cabs, placing food orders, making bill payments, conducting research, and generating images — all via simple voice or text inputs.
Built on Krutrim’s V2 large language model (LLM), Kruti comes with multilingual capabilities supporting 13 Indian languages. Tailored for mobile users, the assistant aims to deliver an intuitive and locally relevant AI experience.
“Kruti is the first real step towards the future of AI where technology doesn’t just talk back, but actually helps you get things done,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, founder of Krutrim. The AI assistant includes features such as memory, personalization, and voice-read capabilities, intending to streamline daily routines by completing tasks from start to finish.
Kruti goes beyond conventional chatbots by integrating Ola’s backend infrastructure and offering a developer-friendly software development kit (SDK). Its foundation is based on an agent-to-agent communication protocol and a Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling seamless interaction with APIs and databases for contextual awareness and business integration.
“With Kruti, we take a step ahead in building trust, utility, and a truly Indian AI experience for all,” Aggarwal added.
With its official rollout, Krutrim aims to redefine how Indian users interact with AI — not just as a conversational partner, but as a reliable digital agent.
