Ravi Jain, the business head of Bhavish Aggarwal’s AI startup Krutrim AI, has resigned after serving for three years, according to sources. His exit adds to a series of high-profile departures from the Bengaluru-based company this year.
Other companies under Aggarwal’s leadership have seen similar trends. Earlier, Hemant Bakshi, appointed as CEO of Ola Cabs, left within three months. In May, Karthik Gupta, the chief financial officer of Ola Cabs and Ola Financial Services (Ola Mobility), also stepped down.
When contacted, the company declined to comment on the matter.
Krutrim AI, a prominent player in the AI sector, has built strategic alliances with global companies like Arm and Untether AI, focusing on the development of CPUs, AI chips, and systems. These collaborations highlight Krutrim’s ambitions to lead in cutting-edge technology.
In January 2024, Krutrim AI raised USD 50 million in a funding round led by Matrix Partners, resulting in a valuation of USD 1 billion. This achievement marked Krutrim AI as the first artificial intelligence unicorn from India.
