
Naga Mohan Gollangi has been appointed as External Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Ltd. (NCGTC). In his new role, he will focus on strengthening the organisation’s cybersecurity and information security framework while supporting its broader technology risk and governance requirements.
Gollangi brings more than 25 years of professional experience across cybersecurity, information security governance, IT risk, digital banking and AI management. His career has included leadership responsibilities in financial services and technology, giving him extensive exposure to managing information security frameworks and addressing technology-related risks in complex organisational environments.
Before taking up his new assignment, Gollangi held senior information security responsibilities at several prominent organisations. His professional journey includes experience with Botanic Healthcare, STCI Finance Limited, STCI Primary Dealer Ltd., and the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID).
He has also served as Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of India, where he was responsible for information security and cybersecurity functions within one of the country’s major banking institutions. His experience in banking has provided him with a strong understanding of the security challenges associated with digital banking, technology infrastructure, regulatory requirements and financial-sector operations. Public industry records also identify him as Deputy General Manager – CISO at Bank of India.
In his new position at NCGTC, Gollangi’s mandate will cover areas including cybersecurity strategy, information security, IT risk management, regulatory compliance and technology governance. He will also focus on strengthening the organisation’s overall security posture and ensuring that security considerations remain aligned with its technology and business objectives.
His experience extends beyond operational cybersecurity to areas such as AI governance, IT risk and digital banking, reflecting the increasingly interconnected nature of technology, data and security. His appointment as External CISO at National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Ltd. comes at a time when financial institutions and financial-sector organisations are placing greater emphasis on cyber resilience, information security governance, technology risk management and regulatory compliance. With his extensive experience across banking, technology and cybersecurity, Gollangi is expected to contribute to strengthening NCGTC’s security and risk-management framework.
