Omar Bali Appointed Group Head – Talent, Learning and HRBL – Enabling Functions at Apollo Tyres

Omar Bali has been appointed Group Head – Talent, Learning and HRBL – Enabling Functions at Apollo Tyres Ltd, bringing extensive experience across talent management, HR strategy, leadership development and organisational transformation.

In his new role, Bali will focus on talent and people-related initiatives across the organisation, drawing on his experience in talent management, learning and development, HR business partnering and organisational transformation.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Bali held senior HR leadership positions at Signify, Philips Lighting, Micromax Informatics Ltd and Whirlpool Corporation. His experience across these organisations has given him exposure to people strategy and HR leadership across different business environments and industries.

Bali’s professional journey also includes earlier roles with Marico Limited and GSK Consumer Healthcare India. During this phase of his career, he developed experience across areas including HR business partnering, talent acquisition, learning and development, manufacturing and supply chain.

His career has therefore covered multiple dimensions of human resources, ranging from talent acquisition and employee development to strategic HR leadership and organisational transformation. His experience across consumer, manufacturing and technology-led businesses adds to the breadth of his HR expertise.

At Apollo Tyres, Bali will take on the Group Head role covering Talent, Learning and HRBL – Enabling Functions. His mandate places talent management and learning at the centre of his responsibilities, while also covering HR business partnering for enabling functions.

The role will involve contributing to people and talent initiatives as Apollo Tyres continues to manage a workforce operating across different functions and business requirements. Bali’s experience in leadership development and organisational transformation provides a strong foundation for this responsibility.

His background across Signify, Philips Lighting, Micromax Informatics, Whirlpool Corporation, Marico and GSK Consumer Healthcare India has given him experience across diverse industries and organisational structures. This cross-industry exposure has enabled him to work across both strategic and operational aspects of human resources.

Bali’s appointment comes with a professional track record spanning talent management, HR strategy, leadership development, talent acquisition, learning and development, HR business partnering, manufacturing and supply chain.

As Group Head – Talent, Learning and HRBL – Enabling Functions, he will bring this experience to Apollo Tyres, with a focus on strengthening the company’s talent and people initiatives and supporting its broader organisational priorities.
