Pam Kaur has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at HSBC, marking a historic milestone as the first woman to hold this position in the bank’s nearly 160-year history.
With over a decade of experience at HSBC, Kaur previously served as Group Chief Risk Officer, where she managed compliance responsibilities and was instrumental in shaping the bank’s risk and financial strategies.
Kaur’s extensive career includes senior roles at prominent financial institutions, including Ernst & Young and Citibank. She holds an MBA in Finance and is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Her deep expertise in finance, risk management, and global leadership uniquely positions her as a key figure in HSBC’s ongoing transformation and strategic initiatives.
