Plazza Raises $15 Million to Expand AI-Powered Medicine Delivery Network

Bengaluru, Quick-medicine delivery startup Plazza has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. Existing investors All In Capital and Better Capital also participated in the round.

Plazza will use the fresh capital to expand its pharmacy network, strengthen its technology platform and deepen its artificial intelligence-driven inventory and assortment intelligence. The startup also plans to build its operational and supply-chain capabilities as it prepares to enter new markets.

The company currently operates two stores in Bengaluru and plans to launch approximately 10 additional stores over the next eight weeks. It aims to operate around 20 stores in the city by the end of 2026 before expanding to other cities. Over the next three to four years, Plazza is targeting a network of more than 3,000 stores.

“Medicine availability shouldn’t depend on luck. Patients shouldn’t have to visit multiple pharmacies or wait days for essential medicines simply because inventory is fragmented. We believe pharmacy retail needs to be rebuilt around technology, not shelves,” said Aman Priyadarshi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Plazza.

“This investment allows us to strengthen the intelligence behind every Plazza store, expand into new neighbourhoods, and build a pharmacy experience that customers can consistently rely on,” he added.

Plazza combines technology-enabled neighbourhood pharmacies with delivery times of between 15 and 30 minutes. While conventional neighbourhood pharmacies typically stock around 5,000 medicines, Plazza said its stores carry more than 40,000 stock-keeping units. Its AI-powered inventory system analyses prescribing and purchasing patterns at a neighbourhood level to determine the assortment required at each location.

According to the company, only around 50 per cent of the top-selling medicines overlap across its two Bengaluru stores, demonstrating the differences in prescription demand across micro-markets. The startup claims its model enables prescription fill rates exceeding 95 per cent, compared with approximately 50–60 per cent at conventional pharmacies. Plazza’s gross merchandise value grew nearly 27 times between June 2025 and March 2026.

Founded in 2024 by Aman Priyadarshi, Plazza operates an omnichannel pharmacy model combining physical stores with app- and WhatsApp-based ordering. Priyadarshi previously held leadership roles at Zomato across India, Turkey and the UAE and later led product development at healthtech startup Kenko Health. Plazza primarily focuses on online orders, using AI-led inventory planning and local fulfilment to improve medicine availability and delivery speed.
