Pranav Chawda has been appointed CEO of JPMorgan Chase’s local banking unit for three years, receiving approval from the Reserve Bank of India. Currently serving as the head of commercial banking, he will also take on oversight of corporate banking.
Bringing over 20 years of banking experience, Pranav previously worked at DBS Bank before joining J.P. Morgan in 2019. This leadership transition follows the early departure of former CEO Prabdev Singh. Expectations are high for Chawda to drive growth and leverage opportunities within India’s corporate banking sector, aiming to strengthen the bank’s presence and competitiveness in the market.
