Procol has appointed Shaivya Gupta as Chief Marketing Officer, placing him in charge of the company’s global marketing, brand and communications strategy as the agentic AI procurement and finance platform prepares for a sharper expansion push in India and international enterprise markets.
In the new role, Gupta will focus on strengthening Procol’s market positioning, category narrative, customer engagement and demand-generation engine. The company is placing particular emphasis on strategic international markets, including the United States, while continuing to build its enterprise presence in India.
The appointment comes at a growth stage for Procol. The company says it has grown fivefold over the past two years and is targeting 300% growth over the next year, driven by enterprise expansion, market development, customer success and strategic partnerships. Procol has evolved from an e-auction platform into an agentic AI-powered source-to-pay platform spanning procurement and finance workflows.
The company says it serves more than 200 enterprises across 10 countries and has enabled organisations to manage over $30 billion in enterprise spend. Its platform is positioned around autonomous and intelligent procurement workflows, a segment gaining attention as enterprises look to apply AI to sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, approvals, purchasing, accounts payable and spend analytics.
Gupta said AI is changing procurement from a transactional back-office function into a strategic business lever, enabling faster and more data-led decisions. His mandate will include building deeper engagement with enterprise leaders and supporting Procol’s effort to lead conversations around AI-powered procurement in India and global markets.
The appointment also indicates a maturing go-to-market phase for Indian SaaS companies building around agentic AI. Procurement and finance functions have traditionally been process-heavy, fragmented and compliance-sensitive. Procol’s positioning suggests it is seeking to move beyond workflow automation into AI-led orchestration across enterprise spend management.
For Procol, the CMO role will be central to defining how the company explains the shift from conventional procurement technology to multi-agent, autonomous workflows for large enterprise buyers.
