UltraTech Cement has appointed Rakesh Khairnar as Vice President and Head – Technology, Center of Excellence, strengthening the company’s focus on digital innovation and enterprise transformation.
A highly experienced technology executive, Rakesh Khairnar brings extensive expertise in enterprise IT, SAP ecosystems, digital transformation, supply chain technology, governance, compliance, and large-scale business transformation initiatives across global enterprises. His appointment reflects UltraTech Cement’s continued emphasis on advancing technology-driven operational excellence and strategic transformation.
Before joining UltraTech Cement, Khairnar held several leadership positions at Mahindra Logistics, where he played a key role in driving enterprise technology initiatives. His responsibilities included serving as Head Enterprise IT, Head ERP Platform, Head Enterprise Applications and IT Infrastructure, and Head IT – People Transport Solutions. During his tenure, he contributed significantly to strengthening enterprise systems, digital platforms, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Over the course of his career, Khairnar has worked across diverse industries and international organizations, building a strong portfolio in technology consulting and enterprise architecture. He previously served as President at SIA Services, LLC and also worked with leading global companies in consulting and solution architecture roles.
His professional journey includes assignments as Independent Consultant – Product Serialization Program Architect at AbbVie, Independent Consultant – Senior Solution Architect at Novus International, Inc., and SAP EM Team Lead at Canadian Pacific. He also held leadership roles at Novus as Global Solution Architect and Senior Manager – Solution Integration and Optimization.
In addition, Khairnar has worked as Solutions Architect at Anheuser-Busch, SAP Solution Architect at Fujitsu, SAP Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Project Executive – SAP ERP and EPC Project Procurement Engineer at Larsen & Toubro.
He also gained early industry exposure through engineering internship roles at Bajaj Auto Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra.
Khairnar’s appointment marks another important milestone in his distinguished leadership journey, further reinforcing his reputation in technology leadership, enterprise modernization, and digital transformation strategy.
