Ravi Santhanam elevated as Group Head, CMO at HDFC

Ravi Santhanam, who was earlier the CMO and Head of Corporate Communications, Head – Liability Products and Managed Programs at HDFC Bank has been elevated. Santhanam is now the Group Head, CMO, Head – D2C business.

Santhanam had joined HDFC Bank in March 2017 as Chief Marketing Officer.

Santhanam has served with numerous brands which include Powergen, Vodafone, Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank. He has started his career at Bajaj Auto. Santhanam has more than two decades of experience across various industries.

Prior to his roles at HDFC, he was associated with Vodafone India for almost six years. He was Vodafone’s EVP and Head- Data/Terminals from April 2013 for a period of two and a half years. Before this, he was the COO, UP (East Circle) at Vodafone. Prior to that, he also had a long stint at Reliance Communications, as SVP-Circle Head, Wireless Business, MHG Circle.

He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and Harvard Business School.
