SanchiConnect Signs MoU with Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India to Empower MSMEs with DeepTech

New Delhi, SanchiConnect Private Limited, a founder-first DeepTech ecosystem builder, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry to establish a strategic partnership aimed at driving meaningful, technology-led growth among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The MoU was signed in Ahmedabad by Dr Sunil Shekhawat, co-founder & CEO, SanchiConnect, and Mihir Chauhan, Director, KCCI.

The partnership arrives at a defining moment for India’s MSME sector. According to NASSCOM studies, while digital technology adoption has accelerated sharply among large enterprises, a significant majority of India’s MSMEs remain at early or pre-adoption stages, operating on processes that constrain their efficiency, competitiveness and capacity to scale. With the Government of India placing MSME modernisation at the centre of its industrial growth agenda, and with deep technology maturing rapidly across sectors, the conditions for transformative MSME tech adoption have never been stronger. This partnership is designed to turn that opportunity into measurable outcomes on the ground.

SanchiConnect brings to this partnership a deep and proven hold on India’s deep-technology startup ecosystem. Through years of curating, evaluating and accelerating deep-tech startups across sectors, SanchiConnect has developed an unmatched understanding of which technologies are ready for real-world deployment and which solutions are genuinely suited to the challenges MSMEs face on the ground. This is not about showcasing early-stage ideas; it is about putting validated, high-impact technology directly in the hands of businesses that can use it to grow.

“The conversation around deep technology in India has, for too long, centred on large enterprises and marquee investors. But the real transformation will happen when deep tech reaches the MSME – the manufacturer in Rajkot, the processor in Surat, the logistics operator in Ahmedabad. SanchiConnect has spent years building the ecosystem expertise and the startup network to make that possible. Our partnership with the Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India is the beginning of that journey, and our ambition is to replicate this model with industry bodies and chambers across every state in India. This is how we build a truly innovation-driven economy from the ground up,” said Dr Sunil Shekhawat, Founder & CEO, SanchiConnect

“KCCI exists to create tangible value for its member MSMEs. Technology adoption is no longer optional for businesses that want to grow and remain competitive- it is essential. In SanchiConnect, we have found a partner with the depth of expertise and the right network to make advanced technology genuinely accessible to our members. We intend to move quickly. Our first joint initiative will put curated deep-tech solutions in front of KCCI’s members in the coming months, and we see this as the foundation of a long-term transformation of how Gujarat’s MSMEs engage with technology,” said Mihir Chauhan, Director, Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India

Through the partnership, SanchiConnect will curate and present relevant deep-tech solutions to KCCI’s MSME members through solution showcases, demo days and targeted matchmaking sessions. Jointly designed digital adoption programs and capacity-building workshops will equip MSME owners and teams to evaluate, pilot and integrate these technologies into their businesses. Ecosystem linkages to mentors, investors and corporates will further support MSMEs as they navigate their technology adoption journeys. The first showcase for KCCI members is being planned in the coming quarter, bringing together curated deep-tech startups by SanchiConnect and Gujarat’s MSME community for the first time under a structured engagement framework.

The MoU is non-commercial in nature and is grounded in a shared conviction: that India’s startup and MSME ecosystems grow best when they grow together. DeepTech startups need real-world adopters to prove and scale their solutions. MSMEs need accessible, trusted technology partners to modernise and compete. This partnership creates the infrastructure for both to happen simultaneously across Gujarat first, with a clear intent to scale nationally.
