Saumya K. has been appointed Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Business Head – 10XPeople.Ai at Shiprocket, taking on an expanded leadership mandate across human resources and the company’s 10XPeople.Ai business.
Saumya brings extensive experience across human resources, talent strategy, learning and development, organisation development and employee engagement. Her career has focused on building people strategies, developing talent and strengthening organisational capabilities across large businesses.
Before taking on her new mandate, Saumya held senior HR leadership responsibilities at Shiprocket, including serving as Group Chief Human Resources and SVP & Head HR. Her experience within the organisation has given her an understanding of its people, business environment and organisational priorities.
In her expanded role, Saumya will combine her HR leadership responsibilities with the role of Business Head – 10XPeople.Ai, bringing together her experience in people strategy and organisational development with a business-focused mandate.
Earlier in her career, Saumya held leadership roles across several prominent organisations. At Yum! Brands, she served as AD – Talent, Learning & Rewards, where her responsibilities covered key areas of talent and people development.
She also worked with Gap as Head – Learning & Organization Development, gaining experience in learning, organisational development and capability building. Her career further includes experience as an HR Business Partner at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, where she worked across HR business partnering and people-related functions.
Earlier, Saumya was associated with Perfetti Van Melle in Talent Acquisition, developing experience in identifying and building talent pipelines. She also worked with the Tata Group in Performance Management & Employee Engagement, adding experience in employee performance and engagement initiatives.
Across these organisations, Saumya has built expertise in several areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent strategy, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, organisation development and HR business partnering.
Her professional journey has therefore covered both strategic and operational aspects of HR, from talent acquisition and employee engagement to leadership development and organisational capability building.
At Shiprocket, her new role expands her responsibilities beyond the traditional HR function. As Group CHRO & Business Head – 10XPeople.Ai, she will bring her people and organisational expertise to a business leadership mandate while continuing to contribute to the company’s broader human resources agenda.
Her experience across Shiprocket, Yum! Brands, Gap, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Perfetti Van Melle and Tata Group provides exposure to diverse business environments and workforce structures.
