Sunfox Technologies, a healthtech startup featured on Shark Tank India, has secured Rs 15 crore (approximately $1.78 million) in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Venture Catalysts, with additional participation from Finvolve, Brew Opportunities Fund, Universal Group, and RP Singhvi Group. This funding elevates the total capital raised by the Dehradun-based startup to Rs 20 crore. Founded in 2016, Sunfox developed the portable ECG device Spandan, which has been used by over 30,000 individuals across 20 countries. The newly raised funds will be used to scale the product both in India and globally.
CEO Rajat Jain emphasized that this investment will accelerate the growth and accessibility of Spandan, envisioning it as a household essential for preventing heart attacks, akin to a thermometer. Previously, Sunfox raised Rs 1 crore from Shark Tank India judges, including Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, and Ghazal Alagh.
