India — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reported a strong first quarter for FY2026-27, with revenue rising 13.9% year-on-year to ₹72,275 crore, driven by continued enterprise demand for AI, cloud, and digital transformation services. The company also announced that its annualised AI revenue run rate has crossed USD 2.6 billion, underscoring the growing contribution of artificial intelligence to its business.
For the quarter ended 30 June 2026, TCS posted a net profit of ₹13,349 crore, representing a 4.6% increase year-on-year, although profit declined 2.7% sequentially due to continued investments in talent, AI capabilities, and business expansion.
The company secured USD 9.5 billion in total contract value (TCV) during the quarter, supported by large AI- and digital transformation-led engagements across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, utilities, and enterprise software. The deal wins reflect continued enterprise investments in generative AI, intelligent automation, cloud modernization, and data-driven business transformation.
As part of its AI strategy, TCS further expanded its strategic ecosystem by strengthening collaborations with Anthropic, Mistral AI, Google Cloud, Oracle, and ServiceNow. The company also announced plans to equip 50,000 employees with access to Anthropic’s Claude large language models, enabling developers, consultants, and business teams to accelerate AI-led solution development and enterprise innovation.
The results highlight TCS’s continued focus on embedding artificial intelligence across consulting, software engineering, customer experience, cloud transformation, and business process services. Enterprises are increasingly partnering with technology service providers to integrate AI into core business operations, modernize legacy systems, and improve productivity through intelligent automation.
The milestone also reflects the rapid growth of the enterprise AI market, where global IT services companies are investing heavily in AI platforms, strategic partnerships, workforce upskilling, and industry-specific AI solutions to meet accelerating customer demand.
