Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd. (TSPL), a subsidiary of Vedanta Power, has announced the appointment of Abhilasha Malviya as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her role, Malviya will take charge of human resources operations at TSPL’s 1980 MW thermalpower facility.
With close to 20 years of varied experience in HR, Malviya is well-equipped to lead TSPL’s initiatives in people management and development. Her role will be pivotal in driving leadership and strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing the company’s HR practices. Before joining TSPL, she held key positions at Tata Steel, including Head of Communications for Raw Material and Group HR & IR Lead.
Malviya’s professional journey includes working with a number of prominent organizations, such as JK Organisation, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited, Jindal Power, Jindal Steel & Power, Britt Worldwide India, and Dale Carnegie Training.
Her extensive background encompasses key HR areas like organization development, talent management, learning and development, and corporate communications. Malviya holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing & IT from the Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development. She also completed advanced HR management programs at XLRI Jamshedpur, including an Executive Certificate in HR Management and Services.
Over the course of her career, Malviya has been instrumental in developing streamlined learning and development frameworks, enhancing people management systems, and nurturing positive organizational cultures in the companies she has been a part of.
Her appointment is seen as a crucial move for TSPL as it seeks to further bolster its leadership team and foster a performance-driven work culture, aligning with Vedanta Power’s broader strategic goals.
