Gurugram-based edtech startup Uolo.com has secured $7 million in a Pre-Series B funding round, led by Five Sigma with participation from existing investors Blume Ventures, Morphosis Venture Capital and Alicorn. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s GenAI technology, deepen its network of school partnerships, and extend structured, classroom-aligned learning into students’ homes. The investment underscores growing confidence in Uolo’s hybrid model, which blends school-driven adherence with AI-enabled learning continuity.
Uolo’s core mission revolves around addressing one of the biggest barriers in student learning—consistent practice and accountability outside school hours. CEO and co-founder Pallav Pandey emphasized that the company is not trying to replace schools but reinforce their impact beyond the classroom. “Learning can sometimes be fun, but it is always hard. The real challenge is not content, it is adherence. Schools solve adherence during the day. With our AI powered products, we extend that structure into the home,” he said. Pandey further added that AI should be viewed as a companion to school education, supporting students with personalised and timely academic guidance.
The company’s technology is embedded deeply within school systems, giving it a unique advantage over consumer-only learning apps. By working directly with schools, Uolo aims to foster an ecosystem where students receive a seamless learning experience—one that begins in school and continues consistently at home through AI-driven reinforcement and practice.
Peter Mobbs, Managing Partner at Five Sigma, said Uolo’s strong presence inside schools positions it well in the fast-evolving AI-led learning landscape. He noted that “Uolo’s deep school partnerships and product execution position it strongly to build AI that becomes part of daily education and delivers real learning outcomes.” This combination of distribution, execution, and technological innovation has been a key factor in investor confidence.
With this new round, Uolo plans to accelerate product development in GenAI, scale its offerings across more schools in India, and support millions of students through structured, curriculum-based learning delivered both in school and at home. The funding marks a significant step toward the company’s vision of making AI-powered learning accessible, consistent, and impactful for every student.
