Urban Company Reports ₹92 Crore Loss in Q1 FY27; Revenue Rises 44%

Gurugram, Urban Company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹92.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with a net profit of ₹6.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Revenue from operations increased 43.86% year-on-year to ₹528.34 crore from ₹367.27 crore. On a sequential basis, the company narrowed its net loss from ₹161.16 crore in the quarter ended March 2026, while revenue grew approximately 24% from ₹425.56 crore.

The home-services platform’s consolidated Net Transaction Value increased 42% year-on-year to ₹1,465 crore. Urban Company delivered 13.2 million orders during the quarter, representing a 79% increase from the previous year. It also added approximately 1.2 million new users, crossing the one-million quarterly user-addition mark for the first time.

Urban Company’s adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation recorded a loss of ₹65 crore, improving from a loss of ₹98 crore in the preceding quarter. The company attributed the consolidated loss primarily to continued investments in InstaHelp, its quick domestic-help service.

InstaHelp reported an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹132 crore during the quarter. Excluding this business, Urban Company generated an adjusted EBITDA profit of ₹67 crore, more than twice the ₹31 crore recorded in the year-ago period.

The company’s India consumer-services business, excluding InstaHelp, registered a 29% increase in Net Transaction Value to ₹1,056 crore. Revenue from the segment rose 31% to ₹356 crore, while adjusted EBITDA reached ₹73 crore, representing 6.9% of its Net Transaction Value.

International operations across the UAE and Singapore recorded an 82% increase in revenue to ₹65 crore. Native, Urban Company’s product business covering water purifiers, electronic door locks and related products, reported a 60% rise in revenue to ₹95 crore.

Urban Company said it continued to invest in expanding InstaHelp while improving the service’s unit economics. The company is targeting consolidated adjusted EBITDA breakeven by the third quarter of FY28.
