
Vishal Rathod has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), taking on a technology leadership role at the industry body representing India’s mutual fund sector.
Rathod announced his appointment through a professional update, marking his move into the CTO role at AMFI and the latest step in his career across technology and IT leadership within the financial services sector.
Before joining AMFI, Rathod was associated with Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited, where he served as Assistant Vice President – IT. He joined the organisation in 2023 and worked on technology strategies aimed at supporting business outcomes.
His professional experience spans IT leadership, technology strategy and financial-services technology, with exposure to the banking and non-banking financial services ecosystem. This background has provided him with experience in aligning technology capabilities with business requirements.
Rathod’s move to AMFI places him in a technology leadership position within an organisation representing the mutual fund industry in India. As CTO, he will be part of the technology function supporting AMFI’s operations and its engagement with the broader mutual fund ecosystem.
His previous experience in financial-services technology provides a relevant foundation for his new responsibility at AMFI. During his tenure at Asset Reconstruction Company, his work involved technology strategy and its role in enabling business objectives.
