
ServiceNow, a leading digital workflow company, has appointed Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as managing director (MD) and group vice president (GVP) for its India and SAARC business, effective January 6, 2025. Based in Bengaluru, Lakshminarayanan will oversee ServiceNow’s business operations in India and play a crucial role in strengthening the company’s position in digital transformation and innovation across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Lakshminarayanan brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous leadership roles. He served as the CEO of Airtel’s domestic B2B business and as president and managing director of Dell India, where he drove strategic initiatives and business growth. ServiceNow’s appointment of Lakshminarayanan is a strategic move to further cement its presence in India, one of the world’s fastest-growing markets and a significant contributor to global digital transformation.
In a statement, ServiceNow expressed that this appointment aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy, emphasizing the critical importance of the Indian market. India holds a strategic position within ServiceNow’s global operations. The company’s India Technology and Business Centre (ITBC) has become its largest outside of the United States, playing a vital role in product engineering and development. India now represents over 20% of ServiceNow’s global workforce, with one in three engineers based in the country. The company also highlighted that over 40% of its global product engineering is driven from India, emphasizing the nation’s growing influence in the company’s global technology strategy.
