Bengaluru-based SatSure, a leading full-stack Earth observation and decision intelligence company, has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding with Hyderabad-headquartered Dhruva Space, a provider of integrated space solutions. This collaboration brings together the strengths of two pioneering Indian firms to create an end-to-end, indigenously developed space ecosystem.
Established in 2017, SatSure combines geospatial intelligence with artificial intelligence to offer specialized solutions for sectors such as agriculture, financial services, energy, utilities, aviation, and forestry. The company caters to clients across global markets including India, North America, Western Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Japan.
The partnership is aimed at bridging the upstream and downstream segments of the space value chain. By aligning SatSure’s decision intelligence capabilities—particularly through its subsidiary KaleidEO—with Dhruva Space’s experience in building small satellite platforms and mission-critical subsystems, the two organizations plan to provide a comprehensive, homegrown solution to the growing demand for Earth observation data.
“We are very excited to be joining forces with Dhruva Space, which will enable us both to harness the best of Indian ingenuity and technological prowess,” said Prateep Basu, founder and CEO of SatSure.
“This partnership is poised to boost our sovereign EO capabilities and create a complete package for end customers who need both high-quality data and end-to-end solutions.”
Dhruva Space’s founder and CEO, Sanjay Nekkanti, described the alliance as a milestone for India’s private space sector. “This collaboration with SatSure marks a significant step in building a vertically integrated, sovereign space ecosystem—one that bridges satellite platform development with actionable intelligence,” he said.
“By leveraging Dhruva Space’s end-to-end capabilities in platform development, launch integration, and ground infrastructure, alongside KaleidEO’s cutting-edge EO payloads and analytics, we can significantly accelerate mission timelines and deliver real-world insights across critical sectors,” he added.
SatSure’s KaleidEO, spun off in 2022, has already developed two high-resolution optical and multispectral Earth observation payloads and is central to the company’s analytics offerings. Dhruva Space, meanwhile, is bolstering its infrastructure with a 280,000-square-foot spacecraft manufacturing facility in Hyderabad—India’s first facility of its kind dedicated to the design, engineering, assembly, and testing of spacecraft up to 500 kilograms.
Together, the two companies aim to deliver a fully indigenous, integrated space solution—from payload creation to platform deployment—offering faster, more cost-efficient access to critical EO data across multiple industries.
