Hyderabad-based tech firm Covasant has unveiled Enablr, a new business division focused on enabling global capability centres (GCCs) to set up and scale seamlessly in India. “Hyderabad-based tech firm Covasant has announced the launch of Enablr, a dedicated business division designed to help global capability centres (GCCs) establish and scale operations in India.” With an ambitious plan to help establish 150 GCCs in the next five years, Enablr aims to redefine how global enterprises approach capability building—by embedding artificial intelligence at every stage of GCC strategy, execution, and performance.
India is currently home to close to 2,000 GCCs, employing nearly 2 million professionals. Enablr seeks to capitalize on this momentum by offering intelligent, AI-driven solutions tailored for every phase of the GCC journey—from initial setup to full-scale optimization. “Backed by India’s thriving GCC ecosystem—home to nearly 2,000 centres employing close to 2 million professionals—Enablr delivers intelligent, tailored solutions for every phase of the GCC lifecycle.” This includes companies establishing new centres from the ground up, as well as those looking to enhance the strategic value of existing operations.
The core of Enablr’s offering lies in its unique blend of Agentic AI, workforce strategy, and deep local market knowledge. These capabilities are combined into a scalable framework designed to create high-impact centres of excellence. “Whether a company is starting from scratch or scaling an existing center, Enablr brings together Agentic AI, talent strategy, and regional expertise to deliver a repeatable blueprint for strategic value creation.”
Highlighting the shift in GCC value propositions, Subramanyam C V, Chairman and Managing Director of Enablr, noted: “GCCs today have evolved from just being offshore support systems to becoming the epicentre of innovation, product development, and enterprise transformation. The definition of success has fundamentally evolved.”
With technology domains like AI, cloud, data engineering, and cybersecurity projected to grow at an annual rate of 11–12% from FY25 to FY29 (PwC India), Enablr enters the market at a time of rapid digital transformation. Its AI-first maturity model is designed to turn GCCs into “not just a centre of efficiency, but a visible, scalable, and strategic asset in the boardroom.”
