As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, a new generation of Indian startups is finding creative ways to integrate it with traditional tools, enhancing daily tasks with smarter, more efficient solutions. These innovations are not only resonating with users but are also drawing attention from government initiatives and global platforms—highlighting India’s growing footprint in the tech innovation space.
One such innovation was showcased at the recently concluded 25th edition of the Gifts World Expo in New Delhi. Hyderabad-based startup ReNote AI is transforming the way people take notes by combining reusable notebooks with an AI-powered mobile app. The app can convert handwritten notes into editable, searchable digital text, creating a seamless bridge between analog and digital worlds.
According to Suman Balabommu, Founder of ReNote AI, the event proved valuable not just for customer outreach but also for product development. “So when we are exhibiting here, multiple people came up with multiple use cases. So I got that opportunity and several use cases too,” he shared, noting how user feedback is helping their engineering and design teams explore new directions.
Recognized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Google as one of the top 100 Indian mobile apps, ReNote AI has also showcased its products on international stages, including GITEX in Dubai and the Osaka World Expo.
Discussing its international appeal, Balabommu said, “Scientific studies have proven that writing on paper improves focus, memory, and creativity. ReNote AI preserves these benefits while eliminating the limitations of traditional notebooks.” He added, “Compared to India, the other countries are more giving preference. So, they saw the very good opportunities there when I exhibited in Dubai. Many of the people are ready to invest in the products and to expand the business in UAE and all.”
ReNote AI’s smart notebook includes features like AI-powered real-time handwriting-to-text conversion, summarization, multi-language translation, task and calendar syncing, and sketch-to-image generation using generative AI. It not only reduces paper waste but also ensures that notes are stored securely and indefinitely.
