Peak XV Partners has announced the appointment of Neha Barjatya as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), a move that underscores the firm’s focus on amplifying its brand and supporting bold founders across India and Southeast Asia. Barjatya joins Peak XV after a remarkable 14-year tenure with Google India, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the tech giant’s brand presence and innovation narrative in the country.
During her time at Google, Barjatya spearheaded several transformative initiatives including the Great Online Shopping Festival, the Internet Saathi program, and a decade of Google for India events. She also drove campaigns such as the Mr. India Pixel campaign and Google Googlies, and was instrumental in launching Pixel manufacturing in India as well as introducing Google’s AI model Gemini to the market. These contributions not only strengthened Google’s consumer engagement but also solidified its innovation footprint in India.
Before her tenure at Google, Barjatya built a strong foundation in media and marketing through her work with Viacom18 Media Private Limited, Zee Turner, and Lintas. Her experience across traditional and digital media has equipped her with a unique perspective on driving marketing strategy at scale.
At Peak XV Partners—formerly known as Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia, a venture capital firm with over 400 portfolio companies, more than 50 unicorns, and 31 IPOs—Barjatya will lead the firm’s marketing efforts to further amplify its vision of backing bold founders and transformative innovations.
“Her appointment marks a strategic step in strengthening Peak XV’s brand presence and founder-focused ecosystem across India and Southeast Asia.”
With Peak XV continuing to expand its reach and influence in the venture capital landscape, Barjatya’s leadership is expected to play a key role in deepening engagement with founders, building brand trust, and fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem across the region.
