
Capgemini has announced the appointment of Sanjay Chalke as its new Chief Executive Officer, a role in which he will also join the prestigious Capgemini Group Executive Committee. Chalke, who has been with the company for over nine years, brings with him a wealth of leadership experience and a proven record of driving business growth, digital innovation, and organizational transformation across global markets.
In his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Capgemini India, Chalke oversaw several critical functions, including the talent supply chain, future talent programs, cybersecurity, business continuity, and quality assurance. His leadership in these areas played a pivotal role in strengthening Capgemini’s ability to deliver high-quality solutions while building a robust pipeline of skilled professionals to meet evolving client demands.
Before his tenure as COO, Chalke served as Executive Vice President and Head of Sogeti India, where he drove business expansion and managed the P&L with measurable success. He was also Global Head of Automation, AI & Analytics at Capgemini, leading the company’s global push into intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and cognitive technologies, reinforcing Capgemini’s position as a leader in digital transformation.
Prior to joining Capgemini, Chalke had an extensive career at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he managed the Global SAP Application Business, overseeing a $185M+ portfolio and leading a 2,200-member team spread across multiple geographies. His leadership also extended to serving as SAP Delivery Head for the Americas and Head of the CTO Office for a global technology leader. Earlier in his career, Chalke held significant positions at Covansys and Siemens, where he contributed to enterprise application development and IT strategy.
With this appointment, Chalke is expected to leverage his diverse expertise in business transformation, enterprise applications, and digital innovation to steer Capgemini into its next phase of global growth. His leadership marks an important milestone in Capgemini’s journey, reinforcing its commitment to scaling innovation, driving customer value, and strengthening its leadership in the global technology and consulting space.
