Ritwick Udayan has been appointed Executive Director at Deloitte, further strengthening the firm’s leadership capabilities in growth strategy, portfolio transformation, and large-scale business turnarounds. In his new role, he will focus on driving market-led and experience-driven decision-making to help clients navigate complex transformation journeys, particularly across regulated sectors such as Education Management, Healthcare, and Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI).
At Deloitte, Ritwick will work closely with leadership teams to deliver performance improvement initiatives, strengthen governance frameworks, and enable sustainable value creation. His mandate aligns with Deloitte’s broader focus on helping organisations respond to shifting market dynamics, regulatory complexity, and rising expectations around customer experience and operational efficiency.
Ritwick brings over two decades of leadership experience across energy, education, healthcare, and financial services. Prior to joining Deloitte, he served as Global Head – HMG Business at Husk Power, where he led mini-grid operations spanning India, Nigeria, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the United States. In this role, he was responsible for scaling distributed energy solutions, managing geographically diverse teams, and driving operational excellence in emerging and developed markets alike.
Earlier in his career, Ritwick held senior leadership roles at TimesPro and Healthspring – Occupational & Corporate Health Experts. Across these positions, he led P&L responsibilities, digital transformation initiatives, and customer experience programs, helping build scalable, customer-centric businesses in highly competitive environments. His work consistently focused on combining growth with operational discipline and technology-led innovation.
Ritwick also brings deep financial services expertise from his tenure with the ICICI Bank Group and Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Limited. During this phase of his career, he worked across retail banking, lending, product and channel management, and bancassurance. These roles helped him develop a strong foundation in building profitable business lines, managing risk, and leading high-performance teams in regulated, large-scale institutions.
This diverse background—spanning traditional financial services, healthcare, education, and clean energy—positions Ritwick well to advise Deloitte’s clients on complex transformation agendas. His experience in scaling businesses, improving profitability, and executing turnaround strategies will be central to Deloitte’s efforts to help organisations rethink growth, strengthen governance, and deliver long-term impact.
With this appointment, Deloitte reinforces its commitment to bringing seasoned industry leaders into its ranks to support clients through periods of rapid change and strategic reinvention.
