Infosys and AWS Join Forces to Speed Up Enterprise Generative AI Adoption

Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at accelerating enterprise adoption of generative AI across core business and technology functions. The partnership brings together Infosys Topaz, the company’s AI-first services and solutions suite, with Amazon Q Developer to help organisations embed generative AI into areas such as software development, human resources, recruitment, sales, and vendor management. By combining their platforms, the two companies are positioning generative AI as a practical, scalable capability rather than a standalone experiment.

At the heart of the collaboration is the integration of Amazon Q Developer with Infosys Topaz to support modern software engineering needs. The combined offering is designed to assist developers with code generation, debugging, automated testing, and legacy application modernisation, helping enterprises shorten development cycles and improve code quality. Beyond engineering, Infosys said the integration will enable AI-driven workflows across business functions, allowing companies to reimagine how work gets done at scale.

Reflecting on the partnership, Sandeep Dutta said, “The combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organisations innovate, achieve operational agility, and unlock differentiated value for their clients.” The statement highlights a shared focus on moving generative AI from pilot projects into production environments where it can deliver measurable outcomes.

Infosys leaders emphasised that the collaboration goes beyond technology integration to address real operational challenges faced by enterprises. Balakrishna D. R. highlighted how generative AI is reshaping day-to-day processes, saying, “We are transforming our development cycles and enabling clients to rethink critical functions like HR, recruitment, and vendor management.” This reflects a broader shift toward using AI not only for productivity gains, but also for decision support, process optimisation, and improved employee and customer experiences.

The partnership also underscores growing demand for enterprise-ready generative AI solutions that are secure, compliant, and aligned with cloud-native architectures. By leveraging AWS’s infrastructure and Amazon Q’s developer-focused capabilities alongside Infosys’ domain expertise and delivery scale, the two companies aim to help organisations adopt AI responsibly and efficiently.

As enterprises across industries look to operationalise generative AI, the Infosys–AWS collaboration signals a maturing market where AI is becoming embedded across functions, supporting innovation, agility, and long-term digital transformation.
