
Poorva Bhatikar has been elevated to the role of Industry Head – Auto at Google India, marking a significant milestone in her journey with the company. She shared the news of her new role through a LinkedIn post.
Based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Bhatikar will now lead Google’s automotive industry charter in India. In her expanded role, she will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships and driving growth initiatives across OEMs, dealers, and allied ecosystem players, leveraging data-driven and digital-first solutions.
Announcing the development, she wrote on LinkedIn, “Taking a moment to share that I’m taking on a new position as the Industry Head for Auto, Google India. The vehicle buying journey is evolving rapidly, fueled by AI; and I look forward to partnering with some of our premier Auto customers to bring them the best of Google in 2026”.
Prior to this elevation, Bhatikar served as Industry Manager at Google India and has been associated with the company for six years. She brings with her over 15 years of diverse experience across marketing, category strategy, and business growth.
Before joining Google, she worked with Disney+ Hotstar, where she was responsible for acquiring and retaining a niche yet affluent consumer segment across the US, UK, and Canada, while also contributing to launch strategies in new markets. Her earlier stints include roles at Mattel Toys India and Reliance Broadcast Network, where she played a key role in building and scaling brands across India and global markets.
