Mihir Dandekar has taken on the role of Senior Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Bank, joining the Wholesale Banking franchise within the Conglomerates & Corporate Groups vertical.
In this role, he will focus on managing corporate relationships and driving growth across large conglomerates and corporate groups, contributing to the bank’s strategic expansion within the wholesale banking segment.
He brings a strong leadership background with experience spanning wholesale banking, corporate and institutional banking, private equity, structured finance, leasing solutions, and strategic growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, he served as Head – Growth & New Initiatives at VIP Industries Limited from September 2024 to February 2026 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. In this role, he was part of the Managing Director’s core team, contributing to strategic initiatives and business growth.
Earlier, he spent over eight years at Federal Bank, where he held multiple leadership roles in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Regional Head – West from October 2021 to October 2024, where he was responsible for business development across a large portfolio of corporate clients in the western region.
During his tenure at Federal Bank, he also held the role of Deputy Vice President – Corporate & Institutional Banking, further strengthening his experience in managing corporate relationships and driving business growth.
His professional journey also includes experience at Tata Capital, adding to his expertise across financial services and structured finance.
