Anthropic has launched a new AI-powered tool called Claude Design, aimed at simplifying the creation of visual content such as prototypes, pitch decks, presentations, and marketing materials through simple text prompts. The product is currently available as a research preview and is integrated within the company’s broader Claude ecosystem.
Claude Design allows users to generate complete visual outputs by describing their ideas in natural language, eliminating the need for traditional design tools or technical expertise. Instead of manually building layouts, users can prompt the AI to create UI designs, slides, one-pagers, and other assets within seconds, making it particularly useful for founders, product managers, and non-designers.
The tool is powered by Anthropic’s latest model, Claude Opus 4.7, and is designed to act as a collaborative workspace where users can refine and iterate on generated designs. It supports a wide range of outputs, including app interfaces, websites, marketing creatives, and structured presentation decks, positioning it as a potential alternative to traditional design platforms.
Claude Design also aligns with emerging workflows that integrate design and development, enabling users to move from concept to prototype faster. In some cases, generated designs can be connected with development tools or exported for further refinement, bridging the gap between ideation and execution.
The launch highlights Anthropic’s expansion beyond conversational AI into productivity and creative tools, directly competing with established platforms like Figma and Canva. Industry reactions suggest that such AI-driven design solutions could significantly disrupt traditional design processes by automating repetitive tasks and lowering the barrier to entry for visual content creation.
