Embassy Developments Limited has appointed Neel Virwani as Chief Business Officer (CBO), strengthening its senior leadership team as the real estate developer looks to expand its presence across key markets in India. Virwani will take charge of the new role effective October 1, 2026, and will lead Embassy Developments’ expansion and operations across North and West India.
Embassy Group announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post, welcoming Virwani to the leadership role. The company said that in his new mandate, he will be responsible for driving the expansion and operations of Embassy Developments across North and West India. The appointment has been formally approved by the company’s Board of Directors and shareholders, and Virwani has been designated as Senior Management Personnel.
Commenting on his appointment, Virwani said, “I am grateful to the Board of Directors and our shareholders for their trust in me. I look forward to working closely with our team to build on our strong foundation, capture new growth opportunities, and take EDL to the next level as a leading real estate company in India.”
The appointment comes as Embassy Developments focuses on strengthening its business leadership and expanding its operations. Virwani’s mandate covers two important growth regions, with responsibility for the company’s expansion and operational activities across North and West India. His role is therefore positioned around identifying growth opportunities, strengthening execution and supporting the company’s broader development strategy.
Virwani joins the new role with experience in the real estate sector and brings knowledge of business development and market expansion to Embassy Developments. His appointment adds another senior leadership layer to the company as it works to build on its existing platform and pursue opportunities across different Indian markets.
Embassy Developments is part of Embassy Group, a Bengaluru-based real estate business with interests spanning commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial and other real estate segments. The group has developed projects across several Indian cities and has built a presence in multiple real estate categories. Embassy Group is led by Jitu Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director.
The latest leadership appointment comes at a time when India’s real estate sector continues to see demand across commercial and residential developments, while developers are also expanding into new geographies and strengthening their operating capabilities. For Embassy Developments, the creation of a senior mandate focused on North and West India places regional expansion and execution directly within Virwani’s responsibilities.
Virwani’s appointment is expected to support Embassy Developments as it works to identify and capture new growth opportunities in these markets. His mandate will involve working closely with the company’s leadership and teams to build on its existing foundation and strengthen its position as it expands its real estate development activities.
With Virwani taking charge as Chief Business Officer from October 1, Embassy Developments is adding a dedicated senior executive to oversee expansion and operations across two major regions. The appointment marks a significant leadership development for the company and reflects its focus on strengthening its business platform as it pursues its next phase of growth.
