
HDFC Life has reappointed Vibha Padalkar as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for another five-year term, ensuring leadership continuity as the company advances its growth strategy in India’s life insurance sector.
She has been leading the organization since 2018, during which the company has witnessed sustained growth and strengthened its position in the market.
Vibha Padalkar joined HDFC Life in 2008 and has held multiple leadership roles within the organization. Before becoming MD & CEO, she served as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer for over a decade, where she played a key role in strengthening the company’s financial framework.
She was also instrumental in the successful listing of HDFC Life in 2017 and led the company through the first merger and acquisition transaction in the Indian life insurance sector, marking a significant milestone for the industry.
Earlier in her career, she held senior finance leadership roles at WNS and Colgate-Palmolive, building extensive experience across financial strategy, governance, and global operations.
She has also been actively involved in industry-level initiatives as a member of the Executive Committee of the Life Insurance Council.
Vibha Padalkar is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 1992 and is also associated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Her reappointment reflects a continued focus on leadership stability, governance, and financial discipline, as HDFC Life looks to build on its growth trajectory and strengthen its position in the evolving insurance landscape.
