Embassy Group Reappoints Chirag Boonlia as Group CTO to Lead Digital Transformation Strategy

Embassy Group has appointed Chirag Boonlia as its Group Chief Technology Officer, marking the return of a seasoned technology leader to the organization as it accelerates digital transformation across its real estate and commercial infrastructure businesses. The appointment reflects the company’s growing focus on technology-driven innovation and its ambition to strengthen its position in the evolving proptech landscape.

In his new role, Boonlia will lead Embassy Group’s overall digital strategy and technology vision across multiple business verticals, including commercial real estate, residential projects, co-working spaces, and industrial parks. He will be responsible for defining enterprise technology architecture, enhancing digital capabilities, and driving business value through advanced technology adoption and operational modernization initiatives.

The appointment also marks a significant homecoming for Boonlia, who previously served as Group CTO at Embassy Group for more than six years. During his earlier tenure, he played a major role in strengthening the organization’s digital infrastructure and enterprise technology ecosystem. Industry observers note that his return comes at a time when real estate companies are increasingly investing in smart infrastructure, digital operations, AI-powered management systems, and data-driven customer experiences.

Before rejoining Embassy Group, Boonlia served as Director at RMZ, where he continued to work on enterprise technology transformation and digital innovation strategies. His professional journey also includes leadership positions at Virtuous Retail, where he was elevated to Group CTO and Vice President – IT. During his time there, he earned recognition as one of the “100 Top Retail Minds” in the country for his contributions to retail technology and digital transformation initiatives.

Over the course of his career, Boonlia has built extensive expertise in enterprise infrastructure management, disaster recovery planning, ERP implementation, and large-scale digital modernization programs. He has also held senior technology roles at Aditya Birla Retail Limited, Oracle, and Infosys, working across enterprise systems, operational technology, and business transformation projects. His consistent elevation into strategic leadership roles reflects his reputation as a technology executive capable of transforming traditional businesses into digitally enabled enterprises.

The appointment comes amid rapid technological evolution within the real estate sector, where companies are increasingly adopting proptech solutions to improve efficiency, sustainability, and customer engagement. Smart buildings, AI-powered facility management, cloud infrastructure, and integrated digital ecosystems are becoming central to the future of commercial and residential real estate operations.

With Boonlia returning as Group CTO, Embassy Group is expected to further strengthen its digital capabilities and accelerate innovation-led growth across its portfolio. His deep experience in enterprise transformation and technology leadership is likely to play a key role in positioning the organization at the forefront of India’s expanding proptech and smart infrastructure ecosystem.
