Raja Sekar Balasubramanian has been appointed as Head – Digital Process & Excellence – SCM at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. With extensive experience in supply chain transformation, digital strategy, operational excellence, and consulting, Raja brings a strong cross-industry background spanning pharmaceuticals, FMCG, life sciences, automotive, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
In his new role, he will lead digital process innovation and excellence initiatives across the company’s supply chain management operations. His responsibilities will include driving transformation programs, improving planning and inventory optimization capabilities, strengthening operational efficiency, and delivering business value through digitally enabled supply chain processes. His appointment reflects Dr. Reddy’s continued focus on building agile, technology-driven, and resilient supply chain ecosystems.
Prior to joining Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Raja spent more than a decade with Accenture Strategy & Consulting, where he steadily progressed from Senior Consultant to Senior Manager – Management Consulting. During his tenure, he led several large-scale digital transformation and supply chain optimization programs for global clients across North America, Europe, APAC, and the Middle East.
At Accenture, he worked extensively on strategic transformation initiatives involving supply chain modernization, operational redesign, digital manufacturing, process optimization, demand planning, and enterprise transformation. His experience in handling global consulting engagements helped him build strong expertise in aligning technology-driven solutions with business growth and operational efficiency objectives.
Earlier in his professional journey, Raja held key roles across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and planning functions at several leading multinational organizations. His experience includes working with Levi Strauss & Co., Nokia, Renault Nissan Automotive India, John Deere, and TVS Motor Company.
Throughout these roles, he gained deep operational expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement operations, vendor management, manufacturing processes, supply chain planning, and process redesign. His broad exposure across industries has enabled him to develop a strong understanding of complex operational ecosystems and digital transformation opportunities within global supply chains.
Raja is widely recognized for his expertise in digital manufacturing, operational transformation, and supply chain optimization. His ability to combine consulting-led strategic thinking with hands-on operational experience positions him strongly to lead next-generation SCM excellence initiatives at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
