Zoom Appoints Carlos Quaderi as Head of Asia Pacific

Zoom Communications has appointed Carlos Quaderi as Head of Asia Pacific, expanding his leadership responsibilities as the company pursues its next phase of AI-powered growth across the region. In his new role, Quaderi will lead Zoom’s go-to-market strategy across APAC, with responsibility for strengthening regional operations, deepening customer and partner relationships, and expanding the adoption of the company’s collaboration, productivity and customer-experience solutions.

Quaderi’s appointment reflects Zoom’s continued investment in Asia Pacific, where organisations are increasing their adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud communications and connected digital workflows. He will focus on helping businesses use Zoom’s expanding portfolio to improve employee productivity, enhance customer engagement and connect workplace conversations with business processes and outcomes. His mandate will also include supporting enterprise growth and aligning the company’s regional execution with the differing business and regulatory requirements of APAC markets.

Quaderi brings more than three decades of leadership experience across Asia Pacific, Japan and Europe. Before taking up the expanded APAC role, he led Zoom’s Asia business and worked with customers and partners to advance the company’s evolution beyond video meetings into an AI-enabled workplace platform. His experience includes building and scaling regional businesses, leading go-to-market transformation, strengthening partner ecosystems and managing relationships with large enterprise customers.

Prior to joining Zoom, Quaderi served as Group Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan at Workday, where he led the enterprise software company’s regional business. His earlier career includes senior leadership positions at Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and HP. At Microsoft, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for Asia Pacific, overseeing commercial strategy and enterprise growth across the region.

Zoom Communications, headquartered in San Jose, California, provides an AI-first platform covering meetings, team chat, cloud telephony, contact-centre services, employee engagement, events and workflow productivity. Its portfolio includes Zoom Workplace, Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, Workvivo and Zoom AI Companion. The company is expanding beyond communications to position its platform as a connected system that helps organisations move from workplace conversations to completed actions and measurable business outcomes.
