Wistron Opens $700 Million Texas Factory to Produce Nvidia AI Systems

Fort Worth, Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron has opened a $700 million manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, to produce Nvidia’s latest artificial intelligence computing systems.

The facility is manufacturing Nvidia’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip, which is designed to support demanding AI training, reasoning and inference workloads. Wistron said Nvidia’s first GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip to be built and mass-produced in the United States was manufactured at the new plant.

The GB300 combines Nvidia Blackwell Ultra graphics processing units with Grace central processing units and high-speed networking technologies. The system is intended for AI factories and data centres operating large-scale generative AI and accelerated-computing applications.

Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang has described the AI system built around the GB300 platform as “the most powerful AI supercomputer in the world.”

Wistron’s Fort Worth facility will also manufacture Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin Superchip. The upcoming computing platform is expected to succeed the Blackwell architecture and support future AI infrastructure deployments.

Production at the factory is scheduled to expand during 2026. The facility is expected to manufacture tens of thousands of computing boards every month as operations scale.

More than 500 jobs have already been created at the site. The workforce is expected to increase to approximately 1,000 employees by the end of 2026.

The Fort Worth plant forms part of Nvidia’s plan to develop AI supercomputers and related infrastructure in the United States. In 2025, the chipmaker announced that it would work with manufacturing partners to establish domestic production capacity and support up to $500 billion of AI infrastructure over four years.

Wistron Corporation is an electronics design and manufacturing services company headquartered in Taiwan. The company manufactures servers, storage products, information and communications technology equipment and other electronic systems for global technology businesses.
