
Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) has appointed Dr. Naresh Kumar Puritipati as President – Human Resources, strengthening its senior leadership team with an experienced HR professional. His appointment became effective on July 2, 2026, and he has been designated as a Senior Management Personnel of the company.
Dr. Puritipati brings more than three decades of experience across human resources leadership, organisational development, talent management, employee engagement, manufacturing HR and business transformation. His career has covered multinational organisations and Indian businesses across sectors including consumer goods, manufacturing, retail, dairy and beverages.
Before joining DFPCL, Dr. Puritipati served as Human Resources Director at Lactalis India. He held the position for more than six years, from May 2020 to June 2026, before moving to Deepak Fertilisers. During his tenure, his work focused on HR strategy, organisational transformation, leadership development and employee engagement.
Prior to Lactalis India, Dr. Puritipati served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Spencer’s Retail. His responsibilities included attracting, developing, retaining and engaging talent to support the organisation’s business performance. His experience at Spencer’s added to his background in people strategy and organisational capability.
A significant part of Dr. Puritipati’s career was spent within the Coca-Cola system. At Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, he held several senior HR positions, including Head of HR – Integrated Supply Chain, Associate Vice President HR – South India and National Head – Organisation Development & Cadre Building. His responsibilities across these roles covered areas such as manufacturing, logistics, sales and commercial operations, talent development, employee engagement, succession planning, performance management and HR analytics.
His Coca-Cola experience also included international assignments. He served as Human Resources Director and Country Head-HR at The Coca-Cola Company in Myanmar and undertook a short-term HR leadership assignment with Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia. These roles gave him experience in HR leadership across India and Southeast Asia, including organisational development, talent pipelines, leadership capability and employee engagement.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Puritipati spent nearly 12 years with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in progressively senior positions. He moved from Factory HR Manager to Cluster Manager and later Zonal Head – Human Resources. Before his Coca-Cola tenure, he worked with Heritage Foods as Senior Executive – HR & Admin and began his professional career with Avanti Kopp Electricals Limited.
His academic background is focused on human resources management. Dr. Puritipati holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Andhra University. He also holds a graduation qualification in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the same university.
At DFPCL, Dr. Puritipati leads the Human Resources function, with responsibilities covering HR strategy, organisational transformation, leadership development, talent management and industrial relations. According to DFPCL’s management profile, his mandate is focused on fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s business objectives.
The appointment also follows a change in DFPCL’s interim HR leadership arrangement. With Dr. Puritipati’s appointment effective July 2, Naresh Pinisetti, President – Corporate Governance, ceased to hold the additional responsibility of leading and managing the Human Resources function, which had been assigned to him on an interim basis. Pinisetti continues as President – Corporate Governance.
