Info Edge (India) Ltd., the parent company of Naukri, has announced a leadership reshuffle with Himanshu Agarwal appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Naresh Chand Gupta, former Managing Director of Adobe Systems India, returning to its board as an independent director. The changes were announced following the company’s Board meeting on September 14, 2026, as Info Edge moves to strengthen its finance and board-level leadership.
Agarwal will take charge as CFO effective September 17, 2026, and will also join the company’s board as an Additional Director. Subject to the required approvals, he will subsequently serve as a Whole-time Director and CFO for a five-year term. He will also become part of Info Edge’s Risk Management Committee and Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee.
Agarwal brings more than three decades of experience across finance leadership, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and business transformation. His appointment comes as Info Edge continues to operate across its internet businesses and technology investments, making financial leadership an important part of the company’s broader business and investment activities.
Agarwal will succeed Ambarish Raghuvanshi, who has been serving as Info Edge’s Interim CFO since November 2025. Raghuvanshi will step down from the interim CFO position on September 16, 2026. However, he will remain associated with the company as a Finance Advisor until October 31, 2026, supporting the transition and handover to Agarwal. Info Edge has credited Raghuvanshi with providing continuity during the interim period.
Alongside the CFO transition, Info Edge has also announced the return of Naresh Chand Gupta to its board. Gupta, who previously served as an independent director at Info Edge until March 2023, will be appointed as an Additional Director and designated as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a five-year term beginning October 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.
Gupta brings extensive technology and leadership experience to the board. He previously spent nearly two decades with Adobe, where he served as Managing Director of the company’s India R&D Centre. He currently works with Accuracap Technologies and Accuracap Consultancy Services and serves as an independent director on the boards of eClerx Services and NoPaperForms.
The board changes therefore bring two different areas of experience into Info Edge’s leadership structure. Agarwal’s appointment strengthens the company’s finance and governance leadership, while Gupta’s return adds senior technology and board experience. Info Edge Managing Director and CEO Hitesh Oberoi said Agarwal’s background across finance leadership, mergers and acquisitions and governance would strengthen the finance function. He also welcomed Gupta back to the board, highlighting his technology expertise and previous association with the company.
The leadership changes come as Info Edge continues to focus on its internet businesses and technology investments. The company is the parent of Naukri and has interests across several internet-focused businesses. The appointment of a permanent CFO also marks the end of the interim finance leadership period that began with Raghuvanshi taking charge in November 2025.
With Himanshu Agarwal taking charge as CFO from September 17 and Naresh Chand Gupta returning to the board from October 1, Info Edge is strengthening both its executive finance leadership and board-level technology expertise. The changes are subject to the applicable shareholder and other required approvals where specified, with Raghuvanshi continuing through the transition period to support the handover.
