OpenAI has appointed Deepak Singh as Partner Director, India, where he will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships, driving go-to-market initiatives and working with customers and partners to accelerate AI adoption across the country.
Singh brings more than two decades of experience across enterprise technology, cloud computing, AI ecosystems, cybersecurity, partnerships and business leadership. His career includes leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with earlier experience at VMware, HP and Intel.
Before joining OpenAI, Singh served as Senior Director for Enterprise Business – India & SAARC at Palo Alto Networks. In that role, he was involved in enterprise business development and worked with customers and partners on cybersecurity and AI adoption. His experience at Palo Alto Networks added cybersecurity to his broader background across cloud and enterprise technology.
Singh’s professional journey also includes senior roles at Google and AWS, where he contributed to the development of cloud computing and AI ecosystems. His experience spans enterprise business leadership, sales strategy, partner ecosystem development, go-to-market initiatives and technology adoption across multiple industries.
Earlier in his career, Singh also held leadership positions at VMware, HP and Intel. Across these roles, he has worked with enterprise customers, technology partners and business teams, building experience in developing customer portfolios and expanding technology adoption.
His appointment comes as OpenAI continues to build its enterprise and partner ecosystem in India. In February 2026, OpenAI launched its OpenAI for India initiative, aimed at expanding access to AI, accelerating enterprise adoption, developing AI infrastructure and strengthening local partnerships. The initiative began with a strategic collaboration with Tata Group.
