Singapore-headquartered cybersecurity company Ensign InfoSecurity has joined the SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI) Partner Network as a forward deployed engineer (FDE) services partner for Grok Build, the company’s AI-enabled software development platform.
Under the partnership, Ensign plans to train an initial group of approximately 50 software engineering and technology specialists on Grok Build. The trained professionals will support Ensign’s internal projects and work with customers to develop AI-assisted applications within their business environments.
Ensign is the first Singapore-headquartered company to join the network in this FDE services capacity.
The forward deployed engineering model involves placing technical specialists directly within customer environments. These teams work with businesses to identify operational challenges, define requirements, develop applications and test solutions that fit existing systems and workflows.
Ensign said the approach is intended to help organisations move beyond individual experimentation with AI coding tools and develop applications that can be used across their operations. The company also plans to bring its cybersecurity capabilities, including data protection and secure software development practices, into relevant customer projects.
Charles Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Ensign InfoSecurity, said organisations were already experimenting with AI coding tools, but understanding what is worth building remains important as AI becomes better at writing code.
He added that enterprise applications must fit the way businesses operate, including their systems, requirements and users. Ensign’s engineers will work directly with customers to understand their needs and build applications suited to their environments.
Toni Adams, head of partnerships at SpaceXSI, said Ensign’s regional presence and customer relationships made it a strong partner. The collaboration is expected to extend access to Grok Build and support its adoption across Asia.
The partnership initially covers customers in Singapore, with plans to extend to other markets and industries through Ensign’s presence across Asia.
The announcement follows the launch of the SpaceXSI Partner Network on October 22. More than 130 companies joined during its early-access phase, including Nvidia, Snowflake, Databricks and Bain & Company.
The network includes partners that help enterprises deploy Grok and those that develop plugins and integrations connecting the platform with tools already used by customers.
