Mumbai, Aarti Industries Limited has elevated Suyog Kotecha as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. His appointment is subject to approval from the company’s shareholders.
Kotecha currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Aarti Industries. He joined the speciality chemicals company in June 2024 and has since worked with its board and leadership team to strengthen strategic execution, customer engagement, organisational capabilities and its long-term growth plans.
The elevation forms part of a broader leadership transition at Aarti Industries. The company’s promoter executive directors will move into non-executive leadership roles from October 1, while continuing to provide strategic oversight. The transition is intended to separate executive management from promoter-led board supervision and strengthen the company’s governance framework.
Commenting on his elevation, Kotecha said, “I am honoured by the trust and confidence reposed in me by the Board and promoter leadership. Aarti Industries has built an exceptional legacy through its people, customer partnerships, technology leadership and unwavering commitment to responsible growth. Together with our Board, leadership team and employees, we will continue to strengthen our global competitiveness, deepen customer relationships and create sustainable long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
Before joining Aarti Industries, Kotecha held leadership and consulting roles at Reliance Industries, McKinsey & Company, Sulzer Chemtech and Shell Global Solutions. His professional experience spans corporate strategy, petrochemicals, business transformation, operational improvement and process engineering.
Aarti Industries Chairman and Managing Director Rajendra Gogri said Kotecha had earned the board’s confidence through his leadership, strategic perspective and commitment to the company’s values.
Aarti Industries is an Indian speciality chemicals manufacturer serving customers across global and domestic markets. Established in 1984, the company combines process-chemistry capabilities with scale-up engineering to manufacture chemicals used across pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, pigments, dyes and other industrial applications.
