
India — Snowflake has appointed Achin Sharma as Head of Commercial Acquisitions – India, strengthening its commercial leadership as the AI Data Cloud company expands its enterprise customer base and accelerates adoption of cloud data, analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions across the Indian market.
In his new role, Sharma will lead Snowflake’s commercial acquisitions strategy in India, driving new customer growth, expanding the company’s commercial business, and strengthening engagement with enterprises adopting cloud-native data platforms, AI, and advanced analytics. He will work closely with sales, customer success, and partner teams to accelerate Snowflake’s market presence across key industry verticals.
Sharma brings extensive experience in enterprise technology sales, cloud transformation, business development, and commercial leadership, with a career spanning leading global technology companies.
Prior to joining Snowflake, he served as Director – Sales, Oracle Cloud at Oracle, where he led cloud sales initiatives and enterprise customer engagements. Earlier, he was Associate Director at Builder.ai, contributing to business growth and customer acquisition in the AI-powered software development space.
Before that, Sharma spent several years at Salesforce, progressing through multiple leadership roles including Regional Leader – Mid Market, Regional Leader – Emerging Small & Medium Business, Account Director – General Business, and Account Director – Mid Market. During his tenure, he led high-growth sales teams, expanded enterprise customer relationships, and drove commercial growth across multiple market segments.
leadership positions at SoftwareOne as National Lead – Virtualization, at VMware as Commercial Account Manager, and at Wipro, where he served as Business Development Manager – System Integration and Senior Account Manager – Client Relationship Group. Across these roles, he built extensive expertise in cloud technologies, enterprise software, virtualization, strategic sales, customer acquisition, and digital transformation.
