
Theobroma Foods Private Limited has appointed Anand Tomar as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Tomar announced his move on October 7, 2026, saying he had joined the company and would focus on strengthening its technology foundation as the brand continues to scale.
Tomar brings 20 years of experience across the food, retail and manufacturing sectors. According to Theobroma’s official leadership profile, he holds an MBA in IT from the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Pune, and has worked with leading organisations including McDonald’s, Trent and Marico.
Before joining Theobroma, Tomar served as Chief Information Officer at Allied Blenders & Distillers, where he joined in 2025. His experience at the company included technology strategy, digital transformation, IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Prior to Allied Blenders & Distillers, Tomar held the position of Head of IT at McDonald’s India. Industry records also identify him in this role in 2024, including his participation in technology and retail industry events as Head of IT at McDonald’s India.
Tomar has also held technology leadership positions at Marico, Trent and HDFC Bank. His professional experience covers areas including enterprise IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation and technology strategy.
In his announcement, Tomar said he was looking forward to strengthening Theobroma’s technology foundation as the company scales and continues to focus on its customer experience. He also expressed his gratitude to Rajiv Batra and Rishi Gour for the opportunity and their confidence in him.
Theobroma is a food and bakery brand with a growing retail presence in India. The company’s current leadership profile lists Tomar alongside its senior leadership team, with his mandate focused on technology.
