Brijesh Gubbi Suresh Appointed CEO of OHM eMobility to Lead Ashok Leyland’s EV Growth Strategy

OHM eMobility, the electric mobility division of Ashok Leyland, has appointed Brijesh Gubbi Suresh as its new Chief Executive Officer as the company strengthens its focus on electric mobility and next-generation transportation solutions. His appointment comes at a time when India’s EV industry is witnessing rapid expansion driven by policy support, technological advancements, and growing consumer demand for sustainable mobility.

Brijesh brings more than 22 years of experience across the automotive, mobility, and technology sectors, with expertise in mobility strategy, connected vehicle technologies, electrification, and digital transformation. Industry experts believe his diverse background across engineering and mobility ecosystems positions him well to lead OHM eMobility’s next phase of innovation and market expansion.

Before joining OHM eMobility, Brijesh held senior leadership positions at several major organizations including Ola, Hyundai Motor India Engineering, Bosch India, Intel, EMAG Group, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Through these roles, he gained extensive experience in vehicle technology, smart mobility systems, product development, digital platforms, and automotive engineering transformation.

His experience at mobility-focused companies such as Ola and Hyundai Motor India Engineering is expected to support OHM eMobility’s efforts in developing scalable electric mobility solutions and connected transportation technologies. Over the years, he has worked on initiatives involving intelligent vehicle systems, mobility innovation, software-led automotive transformation, and advanced engineering capabilities.

The appointment also reflects Ashok Leyland’s broader strategy of strengthening its position in India’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle market. Through OHM eMobility, the company has been expanding its EV portfolio while investing in cleaner transportation technologies and future-ready mobility infrastructure.
