India — Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS) has appointed Prasenjit Datta as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening its technology leadership as the company continues to expand its digital transformation and financial technology capabilities.
Datta joins CAMS with more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation, financial services technology, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and large-scale engineering operations. His appointment comes as financial institutions increasingly invest in technology modernization, AI-driven services, automation, and scalable digital infrastructure to support growing customer and regulatory demands.
Prior to joining CAMS, Datta served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer at Vivriti Group, which includes Vivriti Capital and Vivriti Asset Management. In that role, he led enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation initiatives, cloud modernization, and in-house engineering operations across the organization.
During his tenure at Vivriti, Datta built and scaled engineering, architecture, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, R&D, and digital transformation teams from the ground up to more than 150 professionals. He also led the development of 16 enterprise-grade technology products designed for commercial deployment and business expansion.
Under his technology leadership, Vivriti Group significantly expanded its business scale, with the combined portfolio of Vivriti Capital and Vivriti Asset Management growing from approximately ₹1,600 crore to ₹16,500 crore.
Before Vivriti, Datta held leadership positions at Xpress Money Global, where he contributed to the company’s technology roadmap and managed large-scale global financial technology operations spanning more than 170 countries. The organization processed over 250 million transactions annually and managed customer transaction value totaling nearly USD 115 billion.
His earlier experience includes serving as Head of IT and Vice President at RBL FinServe Ltd, a subsidiary of RBL Bank, where he oversaw enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, analytics, software development, vendor management, and banking technology systems. He also held leadership roles at Vistaar Financial Services.
Datta began his career with major global technology companies including Oracle Corporation, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra, contributing to enterprise technology and telecommunications projects for international clients.
The appointment reflects CAMS’ continued focus on strengthening technology innovation and digital capabilities across India’s financial services ecosystem. As Chief Technology Officer, Datta is expected to lead initiatives related to digital transformation, scalable platform development, cloud infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancement, and next-generation financial technology solutions.
CAMS is one of India’s leading financial infrastructure and technology service providers, offering registrar and transfer agency services, digital platforms, transaction processing, and technology solutions for mutual funds, insurance companies, banks, and alternative investment firms. The company plays a significant role in India’s financial services ecosystem by supporting digital transactions, investor services, and operational infrastructure for financial institutions.
His appointment comes at a time when India’s financial sector is accelerating investments in digital infrastructure, automation, and AI-enabled financial services to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
